Extravaganza 2025 entries now open

The fourth Irish Aberdeen Angus Autumn Extravaganza sale will take place on Saturday the 4th October 2025 in Thurles mart and in association with Marteye.

Similar to the first three years the focus will be on females, and this will be capped at a maximum of 50 lots with selection based solely on quality.

Please note all animals need to be registered with the Irish Aberdeen Angus Association from birth to enter. Also please note all animals need to be parent verified, so if your potential entries are not then please get them genotyped as soon as possible.

The 2025 catalogue and promotion will follow on from 2024, with a photographer to photograph each entry for promotional purposes. To allow us time to do this and have the catalogue ready well in advance of the event, please note entries close strictly on the 8th of August.

Please note any females sold as in calf have to be scanned stating the same in the previous 21 days before the event.

Each entry will for the sale will be charged €20 regardless of if they pass inspection or not. An additional €40 will then be charged for those that pass inspection, making it a €60 entry fee. However, if animals pass inspection and are entered in the catalogue and do not attend, unless due to exceptional circumstances, an additional €100 will be added to your account.

Male entries, similar to previous years, will be selected from club calf qualifiers across the country.

This year we will also take entries of embryos. These will be capped at four lots of three embryos each. Members with embryos for sale should contact Shane on 071-9632099.

All animals bid to €4,000 or more but unsold by the vendor will automatically be charged 5% of the unsold price as per last year’s update.
