Liss select sires average €5,892

The inagural Liss Select sires took place in March recording a super average of €5,892 with 19 bulls sold.

The star of the show was undoubtedly Liss Megastar B417. Following a highly decorated 2025 show season, this standout calf commanded the day’s highest price of €15,800. A February 2025-born son of Liss Dingle V936, he was secured by a Scottish partnership between the historic Ballindalloch Angus – the oldest Aberdeen Angus herd in current existence – and the Kilmallie Angus herd.

Liss Merger B420: This Liss Dingle son out of the Minree family was snapped up by Michael O’Leary’s Gigginstown Angus herd for €9,200.

Liss Karlos A379: A powerful August 2024 son of Luddenmore Magic from the Kim family, Karlos was purchased by a suckler farmer from Co. Antrim for €6,800.

Liss Baxter B422: Coming from the Biluri line, this 13-month-old Dingle son was sold to a pedigree herd in Co. Clare farmer for €6,400.

Liss Kiddo A395: Rounding out the top prices at €6,200, this Newbridge Viper son was selected by a local sucker farmer.

Bulls were secured by pedigree, dairy and suckler farmers with seven purchased by NI and Scottish buyers.
