Welcome to the website for the Irish Aberdeen-Angus Association. Here you will find useful information about council members and duties, show and sale dates and reports, as well as any other interesting events coming up in your area.

The association was set up in 1894 with the principle aim of promoting Aberdeen-Angus cattle throughout the island of Ireland.  There are now 600 breeder members registering Angus cattle with the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society.

Ulster Championship honours go to Birches team

The Aberdeen-Angus Ulster Provincial Trophy was held on Saturday, at the 175th Omagh Show on what proved to be a very wet morning for showing cattle. Not to be deterred by the downpours there was a good turnout from Aberdeen-Angus enthusiasts to win the coveted trophy. Burke family claim top honours at All Ireland Championships

Record numbers attended Cork Summer Show which this year held the prestigious Aberdeen-Angus Growvite All-Ireland Championships.

With entries present from as far away as Tyrone and Sligo with all hoping to take their share in the €5000 prize fund, judge Albert De Cogan from the noted Mogeely herd had a difficult task on hand. Read more >>>
